Terms and Conditions

No cat will be accepted unless it has been inoculated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu. You may also wish to have your cats vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia and Chlamydia, although these are optional. The booster or course of vaccinations must be administered at least 7 days before boarding. Failure to comply with this may result in us being unable to accept your cat. Whilst all cats boarded at Cats @ Ratcliffe Luxury Cat Hotel receive every possible care and attention, they are boarded at the owners risk and the cattery accepts no liability for accidents, illness or loss, They are, however covered for veterinary fees by our own insurers, for any new illness or injury sustained while at Cats @ Ratcliffe Luxury Cat Hotel.

No cat/s suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival, but the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health, pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon.

An up to date vaccination certificate must be produced on arrival, this certificate will be kept with the cat/s during their stay.

You should also check that you cat is treated against fleas and that worming treatment is up to date. Should any cat require treament for internal or external parasites (fleas, worms, etc) on arrival then a charge will be levied for this.

No male un-neutered cats over 6 months old can be accepted.(please contact me for further info).  Any current or ongoing problems with a cat's health or temperament must be notified to us at the time of booking.

The minimum charge is 3 days equivilent. During the Christmas period (23rd December to 2nd January) the minimum charge will be 5 days equivelent.

A non-refundable deposit of £25 per cat will be required at the time of booking. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of £20 or 20% of the total booking fee (whichever is greater) will be payable, which you may be able to claim on your travel insurance. For cancellations less than seven days, then the full amount is payable. If the suite can be resold, then a refund may be given at my discretion. Again you may be able to claim on your insurance policy. 

The remaining balance is payable on arrival by cheque, cash or bank transfer. A full daily rate is charged for the day of arrival and departure regardless of time. Should you decide to collect your cat before the agreed collection date you will be charged for the full term booked. Please ensure you have arranged a time for arrival or collection prior to your journey to enable my undivided attention.

We provide cat trees and activity toys as well as lots of love and cuddles (if they allow) throughout the day, but if your cat has a favourite toy, please bring it along! We also provide high quality bedding, but again, to keep your cat happy, we suggest you bring along their familiar bedding if needed.

Prescription diets must be supplied by the owner, other quality meals from stock are included in the boarding fees. Istock a wide range of wet and dry food but is your cat i on food not normally stocked, you are welcome to bring a supply. (No reduction or discount will be given if this occurs).

We do not charge for administering basic oral medicine, inhalation or topical medication or grooming, however these must be in clearly labelled containers stating the cats name, the frequency and dosage requirments and completed in full on the booking form. Cats requiring injectable medication can be catered for i.e. Diabetic cats. Whilst we are prepared to administer and necessary medication as prescribed by a Vet and will do so with the greatest care, we will not accept any liability for problems arising as a result of the medication given.

I am required to take and maintain information on my customers and their cats. These include name, address, email, mobile numbers, emergency contact, details of the cats and their medical conditions along with vaccination expiry dates. I also ask for your vet details in case of an emergency. 

This data is provided by yourselves by completion of a form in the office, by email, telephone call or electronic means before being transfered to the manual information system.

I maintain this information on a manual boarding system. I do not process this information in any way other than to prepare boarding records for your cats stay. I do not use the data for any purpose other than if I need to contact yourself during your cats stay, in case of an emergency, or you vet.

I do not share your information with anyone. However, I am inspected annually by Browtowe Council and they have the right to see completed boarding records to confirm that I am complying with the terms of my liciense.

Printed copies of any invoices are kept for 6 years as required for any business by HMRC. The printed boarding cards are kept securely for 3 years in line with my licensing conditions. After which, they are disposed of by myself via a shedder. 

I do not hold any credit or debit card details as I do not use this method of payment.
